Highly Strung frequently performs as a quartet, with the addition of Mary O'Mahony on violin, Joey McCoy on guitar, or Paul Burjan on sax/flute player.
Being acoustic, a unique feature is our ability to play in different entertainment areas of the vessel throughout the cruise. This means that we can be on deck to greet your guests with music as they board, then move to other areas as the cruise progresses. This format is ideal for smaller more intimate vessels.
On larger ocean-going P&O cruise liners Highly Strung is the perfect ensemble for a laid-back bar or lounge environment, where our extensive repertoire means that guests will hear a wide variety of music throughout the length of an extended cruise. Our ability to play music from many genres endears us to guests, especially over the cruise duration of a week or so, where they will often become regulars, especially to hear their favourite requests.
